The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is mid-range. It gives a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do, to map your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is built into the base of charging. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the click of the button. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum is effective both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some other models, and it can even pick up pet hair with ease. It's a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common however we found it only marginally superior to circular models.

The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers so that the robot can determine the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vac settings are as effective as those on more expensive models, and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only issue is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's an acceptable cost to pay for if you are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

As for the mopping device, I was amazed with its ability to remove hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, generate very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch TV without distraction. It will gently hit furniture or walls, and then move on if it comes across one.

What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something needs attention, such as the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your house or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up dirt from carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend drying them with a cloth before sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also comes with a sensor that can detect obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best robot vacuum for tile floors known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

It can build detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. While these features are nice to have however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury and could mean it's slightly more expensive than some homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is slim and tall, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home.
