It's also easy to install and use and the app will guide you through the process step-by-step. Its ability to restart the same place it left off during our tests is an additional impressive feature. It could do this for 77 minutes in one cleaning before the battery was exhausted.

The i3+ EVO is different from the other robot vacuums we tested has a self cleaning vacuum emptying bin that automatically dumps debris in an external dirt container on the base of its charging once it is full. The i3+ EVO can be kept from overfilling by a self-emptying bin. However it must be emptied manually at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's internal dust bin holds 2.4L of trash and is more than enough to get it through four or five cleaning sessions before needing to replace it.

Similar to the i7, this model uses state-of-the-art floor sensors to create maps and navigate neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only store one map, while the i7 can store multiple. The map of the i7 can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones but not the i3+ EVO.

The i3+ EVO does a better job of picking up surface debris when compared to other robovacs that we have reviewed, but it is not the best in cleaning corners and edges. It's also less gentle on furniture despite being relatively silent. It pushed chairs away from walls and caused some collisions with the sides of our bed, and became stuck on cords and toys during our testing.

The Q5 Pro is an excellent option, whether you're expanding your collection of robot vacuums or just starting out. It packs serious power, smart navigation and easy automation into a slick design for a reasonable price. It's the best value for the money you can get at the moment, and it even matches some Roborock models that are much more expensive in many ways.

This robot is excellent in cleaning floors that are bare and its avoidance technology assists it in staying away from furniture legs or other obstacles. It also does well on carpets and scores a high score in our tests of navigation. The only drawback is that it's more raucous than the other models we test and it doesn't do as well in our owner satisfaction and predicted reliability assessments.

The Q5 Pro comes with a large dust bin of 770ml, meaning that you won't have to empty it as often as other 2-in-1 robots. The 240-minute runtime is very generous compared to others we've tested. When the battery is low, it returns automatically to its dock, where it recharges and resumes cleaning where it left off. You can control the Q5 Pro via the app and also use voice commands using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

This is the first robot we've seen that has 3D mapping. This, along with other innovations made it perform extremely well in our vacuuming tests and mopping test. You can schedule cleanings and set up no-go zones. You can also see the battery status. The app is simple to use, but it doesn't support Apple HomeKit. The feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. Apple changed its footnote on its website in November of this year to reflect that this feature has been delayed until 2025. Some other robots won't work with HomeKit however, a lot of them are compatible with Siri Shortcuts.
